You guys see him all the time. He comments on my blog as CM, which stands for Cousin Mark. We have been cousins a long time – all of his life in fact since I am a few years older than he. Our mothers are sisters, though we lost his Mom to cancer quite a few years ago. He and his wife Ramona have 6 kids – yep, 6! Our all too infrequent phone conversations usually have to end because our sides ache from laughing. Last month, he sent me a special package for my Birthday.
He clearly pays attention to the slightest utterance in my posts so he included a nice big bag of these babiesThis really cool plaque is hanging in my kitchen nowDue to a question he asked Riley a while ago, he had to pay off his debt of dog cookies.Riley was thrilledWe didn’t all have some – just Riley [though when we were kids, my sister Weezee and I ate some on a dare. They aren’t that good. And all of that stuff was wonderful and I love it. But my cousin is also an artist. He works at Hallmark in the engraving department which involves cards with the raised embossing on them. [at least I sincerely hope that is what it is, since people he works with read this blog – hi Hallmark people!]
You might remember this photo from back in April? He turned it into something so special.
Pretty cool huh?
I like that cousin of your’s Dlyn. Sounds like a very cool guy.
=)
That is one special looking flower.
Are you going to frame that print?
Beautiful painting!
WOW TOTALLY COOL!
I am totally impressed~
HUgs Laura
That’s beautiful!
love the painting… how special.
Aw Shucks …. for once I don’t have anything to say … and any of you that read the comments know that is unusual!
Love, CM
PS – you got the job description just right!
Wow, put two very talented people together and look at what you get!!
YR
That picture is phenomenal. Way to go CM!!!
Now, I am a faithful Hallmark card buyer and if we could just get some more Happy Birthday cards with a brown or black with brown dachshund on it I would be one grateful woman. We have a lot of dachshunds and a lot of birthdays in this family and the dachshunds ALWAYS have such a tuff time finding birthday cards with a dachshund on it. Breaks the little dachsies’ hearts. Just saying, Hallmark… :-)
Wow! Your cousin’s daffodil is gorgeous! He’s a good man to have in the family!
I am glad you guys liked it too – and yes I am framing it to hang on the wall.
Ness – that made me LOL. the poor daschies – give em a hug for me, ok?
I LOVE what your cousin did with your photograph…he truly is talented! He sounds like a great relative to have..and 6 kids YOWZA! That’s a handful…but then again I am #3 of 6…LOL.
that’s better than pretty cool– that’s fabulous!
Sounds like the best cousin ever. And a great artist!
What an EXTRA special birthday gift!
Amazing that CM could do that. I never thought about the beautiful flowers on cards — that they might be altered photos, even though they look like paintings! Too cool!
That CM, 2nd CM to me, is some guy. His artwork is just beautiful.
CM! That is gorgeous. So I bet I am getting a nice rendering of one of my dogs for my birthday this year! I can’t wait.
Seriously it is beautiful.
I had to do a double take, that is a lovely rendering.
This is amazing! What a gift! Ho hum. I would LOVE something like that of my munchkins. ;)
Many blessings-
Amanda
