You will forgive me won’t you?

I think she will be around later

Hi gang – Riley here. Mom seems to have a severe case of spring fever. She is out, working in the yard and I don’t see much sign of her getting on the computer any time soon. She might be back later with a recipe or maybe some photos of daffodils, which are in bloom all over the place now. You just can’t ever tell what a person with spring fever might do. Well – nice talking with all of you. I have to go and play with Daisy now so I will see you later.

Wednesday is for the birds

Well it is this week anyway. They are so busy out there these days that I can’t keep away.

Tufted Titmouse – he is hanging on one of my plant hangers that I put out already. It will be more than a month until I dare hang any plants outdoors though. A Cardinal keeping his eye on another one who was on a branch above him.The Cowbirds are back! The Goldfinches still look a little scruftyThe woodpecker is not interested in sharing with the Purple Finch. Birds are zenophobes.Remember this from back in the winter? Looks a lot better this week I think.
Time for “Let’s not bite the UPS man” class. See you later!

Tagged, and glad of it!

Kate tagged me with this one and I am grateful since I need an easy post today and I was coming up with nuttin!

How long have you been together?
Since 1974 – married in ’76

How old is he?
He is 57 – waaaaaaaaay older than me!

Who said ‘I love you’ first?
I think he did – I can still remember the first time he said it very vividly and I don’t think I would have said it until I knew he loved me too.

Who is taller?
He is – by about 1/2 inch

Who is smarter?
He is smarter about some things than I am, and I am smarter about some things than he is.

Who does the laundry?
Mostly me, though he will throw in a load if his work clothes need washing and I haven’t gotten to it.

Who does the dishes?
Me – cleaning is not exactly a strong point with him. He did a good job when I was gone for a month last summer though.

Who sleeps on the right side of the bed?
Me – I can’t sleep on the other side. He can sleep anywhere.

Who pays the bills?
He makes most of the money and I spend most of it – it is an arrangement that has served us well for a long time.

Who mows the lawn?
Mostly him – I do a lot of yard work, but he does the mowing 99% of the time.

Who cooks dinner?
Since we both like food that is actually edible, I cook dinner. He is pretty good with breakfast though.

Who asked who out?
We picked each other up in a bar.

Who proposed?
He did, but I had already told him that if he asked me, I would say yes.

Who is more sensitive?
Hmmmmmmm – I would not say he is more sensitive, but he cries more easily than I do.

Okay – who should I tag with this one? I know a few other people who have already done it, and I just tagged a whole bunch of people yesterday with the front door/back door thing. I think I will just invite people to grab it if they like and then leave me a comment that they are doing it.
