Or on to last summer’s clematis vines in the back garden at least. But if we really want to dream about last summer, should we take a look at this same clematis in July? Yeah – I think we should.

I doubt we will ever see flowers in Maine.
It’s too damn cold.
Hallie
I love clematis! They’re so beautiful. I miss mine (left at the old house) and someday when we finish the yard here, I’ll plant another!
Awwww, gotta love those chickadees. :)

To every thing there is a season, turn, turn, turn . . .
Cute. Summer will be soon and then we’ll wish for Fall. ha. ha.
Aw Hallie – it will be summer again – in about 17 months or so!
Diane – I seem to be adding more all the time – trouble is finding a place to put them, since the top needs to be in the sun more thatn the roots do. They pay you back for the trouble though!
Mary – they practically land on my head – such bold little guys!
Trisha – an apt quote – thanks!
Ashleigh – not here we don’t! We treasure every minute of our summer girl :)
I think Clematis are the prettiest flower … and that is one sweet little tweeter
Excuse me! …. the soup never arrived?!
You might just have to send me that chickadee picture to suffice ….. (please don’t put a hat on it!) ; ) I see another watercolor project in it!
Do you make a green split pea soup? My wife makes one that she has made for years that is so good and it tastes better on day two! It’s out of the Betty Crocker International Cookbook from back about 1980.
That chickadee is a cutie but I love the second one. Oh how I miss that place called summer.
37 days til Spring!
Beautiful pics! I have a flock of cardinals hangin out in my yard right now, but I can’t get close enough for a good picture. Thanks for sharing!
Oh I want spring. Now.
I’m excited because it may snow soon. We’ve hardly had any. But this glimpse of spring is a welcome sight on your blog!
Great contrast. I miss summer too.
how pretty!
