You know how much we love it here in New York – out in the middle of nowhere, with more cows than people for neighbors. And we love that we have 4 distinct seasons as well as great weather for gardening most years. But, man, did we need a vacation after this brutal winter. In the midst of our trip to see Lauren and Steve, we took a quick two day trip down to St. Augustine, Florida, which they had been to a couple times before. It was an inspired idea – pure heaven. The white building there in the middle was where we stayed. If I ever win the lottery, I’m buying it.Would it be so hard to have just a little ocean right here where we live? With a nice little beach? And a few pretty ocean birds? It just doesn’t seem like it would be that hard, is all I’m saying.

I’m glad you guys had fun!
And we were glad you guys had fun. It was special :)
I’m so glad you loved ST. Augustine, I love it too, we go up there pretty often. If you ever get the chance, if you haven’t been, cape Canaveral National Seashore isn’t too far away from the Orlando international airport and it’s so secluded and lovely. So much wildlife, shells, and hardly any people, even in the heat of the summer.
Thanks Angie – I am sure we will get back down there before long – thanks for the tip!
awww…love your photos!! I grew up just south of St. Aug, in Flagler Beach. Nothing like the ocean…
I’m in Orlando area now, so not too far…glad you enjoyed your time here!!
