Never at a loss for words Wednesday

Don’t you feel like you have to explain your photos? Though I guess if I were a real photographer, I would not have to explain. I would post fabulous photos and everyone would take one look, understand the meaning of the universe and go read some other blog.

You know it is really winter when your squirrels have snow on them:

Remember that nice, serene water-over-the-rocks photo from last Wednesday? This is the same general spot after a couple days of rain and snow melt:

Some ice:

I don’t know what it is that I love so much about these two little apple trees. They are growing wild at the edge of field across the valley and I look at them every day. They look like best friends don’t they?

You have to love what a thaw does for tree branches:

Hey nice photos. I must say that apple tree picture evokes a deep reaction of comfort and comradeship. Just 2 little trees against the world. (satisfied sigh)
    See I get it.

  2. Steph says:

Nice photos, the beautiful scenery is always a plus to winter. I still prefer your last post though. I am itching to start gardening, spring needs to hit soon!!

  3. Lori says:

Well, because part of me will always be 8 years old, I am in love with that squirrel! He is so fluffy and seems not to mind the snow at all. Though, if I could knit, I’d be sending you tiny little scarf and a tiny little hat for him!

  4. Ashmystir says:

Love the pics. I don’t get much of a chance of photographing colorful folliage, snow or ice. I’m in FL. Squirrel is cute!

  5. dlyn says:

W- maybe they are sisters! :)

  6. HeyJules says:

That squirrel…he’s sure working hard for that nut he buried earlier! (I wonder just how many nuts are buried in my backyard full of squirrels…)

    Love the raindrop photo. Sa-weet!

  7. Marie says:

The squirrel is just too cute! And the apple trees…yes, they look like best friends. You have a beautiful view each day my friend!

Hi! After I wrote the comments about family wondering what I may say next …… I know who that might have reminded you of! ; ) I guess between you and me we’ve got both of the K grandparents covered on a few family traits.

Love the pics, especially the ice drop on the branch! ….. gotta have it!

So did you say which is the Spam state? (I didn’t have time to read all the comments.)

I love the blue in the apple trees picture. The squirrel is too cute! Just looking at these made me turn the heater up a bit. Burrr!

  11. Amy says:

Shouldn’t that squirrel be sleeping or something? I can’t imagine that he is finding very many nuts.

  12. Paige Jennifer says:

I know squirrels are merely rats with bigger, fluffier tails but man, that picture makes vermin look super duper cute. Like I want one. A snowy squirrel and a polar bear – the perfect pet combo for my one bedroom condo.

Stunning Stunning photos. Gorgeous…only, where’s the truck? How sad is this that I will always be looking for the truck out there somewhere by the apple trees….

  14. Tina says:

The pictures of the snow made me shiver…and the drop of melting snow on the branch was serene. Almost meditative. Lovely.

  17. Flea says:

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a squirrel with snow on him. How cool! Your pictures are lovely, as always. :)

Love the squirrel! Thanks for sharing such great pictures. Makes me miss winter a tiny bit! We’ve been getting a lot of rain this year, but snow is hard to come by in FL!

I so wanted to reply to this post last night but I still have dial-up and was waiting for all the photos to download and well, it was a bust. Am at work now and they just popped up so quick. I know, I know, must get rid of dial-up . . .
I love this last photo. Just love it.
