    I love cardinals! We used to see them all the time in Connecticut. Now if we want to see them we have to go to the zoo and I am not kidding.

    I went to the Galapagos this past August and showed up there with a snazzy new camera, my first since my Bat Mitzvah. Anyway, I tried SO hard to snap pics of birds – Blue Footed Boobies and Frigates – but those suckers are hard to get before they fly away. Also didn’t help that I didn’t have a zoom lens. On some photos, if you squint REALLY hard, you can see a bird. Or is it a cloud?

    I don’t know what it is, but seeing a red Cardinal bird almost seems magical to me. I love that picture, Donalyn. I’ve never seen one in the wild, but I know I would be thrilled because when I saw your picture, my stomach leaped for moment. Great pictures! Love the little turtle dove, too. And all of them!

    I have been thinking of getting a new SLR camera and just about had myself talked out of it til I saw your pics! Those are really good pics you took!
