And I am definitely the newbie, not the camera. I am sure the camera knows exactly what it is doing, but this is my first SLR, so I have a lot to figure out. But I took this shot this morning and it is at least as good as what I could do with my old point and shoot, so it is good for a start. Actually the first pictures I took were of Larry and he says I can’t put them on the internet, cause his hair was all messed up.

I look forward to seeing how it goes for you! We really want an SLR especially with the kids’ sports and stuff but I’m a little afraid that I would do a lot worse with an SLR than I do with my point and shoot. But what I wouldn’t give for all those lenses …
