This is “Parkle” – so named by Anna, who is still having a bit of trouble with the pronunciation of the letter “S”. See how she fixes her sharp, eagle eye on you?
And “Speckles”, named by our niece, Charlotte. You do not want to mess with Speckles.
Even “Martha”, [do you think Martha Stewart would mind that I named a Rhode Island Red after her? It was my envy over her chickens that made me decide to get back into having chickens, so it only seems fair.] the most tame and mild mannered of birds seems to be sizing you up for her next meal.
Now, if they would just start laying an egg or two…
*Ninja, Sally and Early all disdained having their photos taken this morning. They were named by our nephew Bryce, Mark and Anna, respectively. And yes, I am sure there are girl ninjas.

They are about 20 weeks old, so getting time to start laying!
