Event though when you get right down to it, they are nothing more than rats with fluffier tails and better publicity, I love the Sciurus carolinensis that skitter around my yard by the bird feeders all day. Also known as the Eastern Gray Squirrel. This one even looks slightly talkative, wouldn’t you say? Then there is this. Ellyn and Jason gave it to me for Christmas – a flower pot that matches my Fiestaware. Half of my set is Persimmon and half is Turquoise and I love every piece, but this flowerpot has charmed me beyond words.Oh yeah – then there are these two. The big oneAnd the little one.And they are coming to hang out for the weekend. Definitely a favorite thing!
What are you doing this weekend?
WHat a sweet post
Awwww, how sweet! Enjoy your weekend! :)
That cute boy is the next George Clooney with that adorable cleft chin.
Have a nice weekend.
Nice favorite things! What kind of plant is that, by the way?
You are one lucky girl! And don’t get me started on the squirrels. I have started spraying all the bird feeders with PAM.
I am just delighted to hear that someone else likes squirrels. I love them. They are one of my favorite things to watch when we go up to the mountains, and they all have the same name…Bushy Tail.
Those grandbabies of yours are just adorable. I can’t believe how fast they’re growing!
for a while I had a squirrel that visited our back window daily, I left ‘him’ peanuts .. ‘his’ ear was notched so ‘he’ was called/ref’d to as Nacho. One day Nacho brought HER babies to visit .. so cute … so cute. Then the kids thought let’s go inside that window and get more goodies .. luckily for all of us the screen only got a small tear before Gus hear them and scared ’em off.
The kidlettes are adorable .. and so is the planter
Awww, yay. Thanks for sharing. :D Love, love, love that inquisitive looking little squirrel! Sending a link now to a friend of mine, who adores the little beasts, too.

I’m mad at squirrels…they ate my tomato plants, Star Gazer lillies and butterfly plant last summer. Your grandchildren are precious. Have a great weekend!
Your grandbabies are ADORABLE! I love grandkids…cuz you can send them home after spoiling them rotten.
No plans for the weekend. My daughter and I were supposed to go shopping but she came down with pnenomia. I made her chicken noodle soup.
I love the pot! And in honor of you and MPM, I took pictures of some VERY pudgy squirrels today at the park.
Your grands are beautiful as always…
What’s the name of the plant in the very neat pot? I have one of those (plants) and have no idea what it’s called.
I love watching squirrels in the yard. Teasing my next door neighbour’s dog, tearing back and forth after each other, I love thier spunky personalities.
Today was a very stressful day so I bought myself a present “The Adobe Photoshop CS2 Guide.” I am going to hang out and do some learning!!
Love the pot, it’s seriously adorable!
Thanks everyone – we are having a great time. The plant is a Pilea – mollis I think. It is easy to find – I got this one at Lowes.
This weekend? Trying to get back in my husband’s good graces after coming home at 1 in the morning after a Friday night spent with friends. He was invited but chose not to come out with me. And now he is mad.
I’m making something savory for dinner and his favorite cookie for dessert.
And if he knew that I ended up at a jazz bar last night, and danced on stage after the musicians gave me a tambourine and urged me to come up, well . . . I think all that is best left unsaid.
OH yeah I hung out with my grandsons on Friday night/Saturday and my granddaughters on Saturday night/Sunday. Pure bliss but I needed to come back to work for rest.
