Are those cupcakes set up on upside-down wine glasses? Brilliant!

  2. I am with ya! love cherries and never can get enough…a friends mom canned them and we had them all winter up north, boy do I miss those days…never learned and now dont have that kind of room to store them! I love these cupcakes they are awesome! Pictures are fabulous! I want to eat the picture :)

Our old house had a cherry tree in the yard. Heaven, I tell ya. I miss it :( We spent the month of June at our local U-Pick farm gathering up as many cherries as possible, nearly 1/4 of the price you pay at the market and OMG, so much sweeter as you know. Now I’m resigned to buy them at the market because I can’t go long without them.

p.s. I share your love of avocado. One problem – I’m allergic to them! Cruel, cruel joke. I still eat them anyway and suffer the consequences. Now that’s love.

They are Alanna. I can’t claim that it is original though – i think I saw it from one of our contributors on DessertStalking. It is great to have a steady source of inspiration :)

Thanks Caludia – we hope to get some trees planted in a couple weeks – it is not that long until they start bearing – we want some sour ones too.

Amy – from what I hear, our late frosts kind of did in the local cherry crop. We plan to hit the farmer’s market tomorrow, so we might be able to find some there. I am so lucky – I’m only allergic to things like aspirin and penicillin – no food!

    they’ look delicious

  6. Jeannette says:

Greetings! I just made this recipe and they are DELICIOUS. I have never made a cake from scratch (well, one that worked out well) so this was very exciting. That said, I did accidentally make enough frosting to do like 5 dozen cupcakes, gotta figure out something to do with it now (other than try to make 5 dozen cupcakes >.>)

  7. Donalyn says:

Jeanette – I am so glad! It is a very reliable recipe, in either the lime or lemon versions. And 5 dozen cupcakes would not be such a bad thing…

  8. i love cherries and i have a birthday party coming up! i’m thinking i need those cupcakes! and i eat cherries by the pound to, until my stomach inevitably hurts…

P.S. That last picture should be in a magazine, So beautiful! It’s almost like 3D, too bad I can’t reach in and grab it out of the computer :) Alright, good bye from the pregnant lady :D

  13. Joan says:

These look amazing, and like you have an addiction to cherries, I’m addicted to lime! Also looking forward to trying the strawberry/lemon version. :)
