John planted one tomato plant for us and we’ve gotten some nice ones from it. My retired neighbor gave us a bunch of tomatoes from his 30 odd bushes on Sunday. Sunday night I made a huge bowl of fresh salsa, with fresh mangos and peaches and cilantro. It was soooo good! …. and it was gone by Monday night. Too bad I don’t have a blog to post pics of my creations …. although when I’m in the kitchen, it isn’t pretty. There’s nothing decorative about it!
I learned yesterday that the “cute” little squirrel who visits on our deck literally RIPPED my three foot tall tomato plants from the containers and helped himself to any tomatoes who were incubating. In addition, he ate my mother’s purple petunias, ate the blooms off my butterfly plant and I’m just waiting to see if he touches my Star Gazer lillies that just made it above ground. I usually live and let live but I was SO looking forward to home grown tomatoes that don’t taste like their grocery store cardboard cousins. Sigh.
OK, I’m going to report you to the Czar of all blogs. You post the beautiful pictures of delicious food and do not offer to send any to me. (at your expense of course) Grape tomatoes are my absolute favorite!!!! The Czar will see that you make things right.
Damn, your husband is amazing! lol. I love that photo…I want them!

I want some. Dad’s tomatos are the best. My mouth is watering. I hope you are happy. What if the nieghbors see. That could be embarrassing.
Your husband really loves you! My husband knows better than to give me tomatoes. :)
I had a question for you … oh! Did you change your header, or am I horribly unobservant? I like!
Glorious, just glorious! And on so many levels!
