Hard to believe another whole month has slipped by! If you are new to my blog, you can check this meme out here. A lot of the people originally tagged have not been participating for one reason or another and that is ok – you should only do it if it’s fun. But anyone can join in at any time – it is an ongoing thing and you can participate just one month or every month or once in a while. No pressure. No stress.
The idea is to see the changes in our surroundings from one month to the next. Here is Upstate NY, out in the middle of nowhere, the changes are quite dramatic. Our weather can range from 95+ in July, down to 30 below zero in January. It is like living on two different planets in one year and I always marvel at the contrasts.
But other people’s contrasts – or lack of them – are interesting too which is why I like to see lots of different entries. So – leave me note in the comments if you want to join – I will try to get around to all the blogs of the people who have been participating, to remind you. Here is a link to all my previous photos.
And here is July.
The back [please ignore the weeds in the lawn. And the fact it needs mowed back here]The rest of the backAnd the front
Do you see what is missing? The hay is gone!
Beginning later today, there is going to be a new feature for your viewing pleasure – a Flower of the Day. It will be at the top of the left sidebar. There is just so much in bloom right now that I have to show you how pretty it all is.
Have a great day and leave me a note when you get your meme photos up!
Lovely…I can’t wait to see it all in person next week.
I will do mine tomorrow.
WOW. Your yard is just gorgeous. So much change from month to month! Thanks for the reminder to photograph – I’ll do that today!
Oh flower of the day…love that!
I understand Ellyn …. I’ve wanted to see it in person for a long time! … someday!
Your comments made me think of a favorite quote I saw in a garden book …. “A weed is a flower who’s benefits have not been discovered yet.” I think if was from Mark Twain or Shakespeare …. I always get the two confused. : )
I look forward to the flower of the day.
Great view. I’m jealous!
I love your shade garden and your view.
I love the new feature. Can’t wait to see tomorrow
Oh wow. I will not participate in this meme! I’m green with envy!
still looking nice and green!
We could desperately use some rain here, things getting mighty dry around here. Grass is not looking good. Well, less mowing I guess at least.
Amazingly green! I love it! Your shade garden is overflowing wonderfully! I am going to take some pictures right now and try to get a post up!
Can’t wait to see the FOD’s, too!
Thanks for your comment on my blog…I am trusting the one far greater than myself that things will get better.
Your garden looks beautiful, I wish I could sit in it a few hours and just…breathe!
That is beautiful! And so lush…you all must have had much more rain than us lower Connecticut folk!
wow–so pretty here, great!
Good morning. I’ve given you a blog award. It’s the second post down over at my place.
