I have no idea how I ended up with this shot – it was taken in the middle of a sun-shiny day, not in the dark. It is my only near-white daylily and the name is why I bought it: “Gentle Shepherd”. No way I could pass that up!I will get a better shot of it in the next couple days – I actually did go out and do some weeding early this morning, rather than taking photos and by the time I got out with the camera this one was looking a little worse for wear. I snapped a few shots anyway and this one turned out with this intriguing look. It is my home photo for Lauren today, because of the name – cause I know He is watching over her. Remember to pray for her this week, okay?

I’ve had a similar effect happen sometimes if the flash goes off even on a bright day. I’ve never seen a near-white daylily. ANd I love its name.
Beautiful flower and a beautiful name. Sending prayers along to keep Lauren safe.
I think that’s an incredible photo just as it is! The contrasts are wonderful.
Your Lauren is always in my thoughts and prayers – as are all the women and men in our armed forces. God bless every last one of them!
wonderful pic… one of my lilys are solid white… well before all the blooming had ended they were… I think our season is way ahead of yours… cause my plants are all finished for the year.
Laura
RE her into your hart…is that not the best line ever?
