Even a very masculine, truck playing, lego tunnel building, tool belt wearing, ball catching little boy appreciates a field full of flowers. A field where no one is telling him to be careful about what he is stepping on and he can run to his heart’s content.
Not only can you walk and run wherever you like, you can pick a bunch of these flowers and no one gets at all upset.
That sap stuff is a little sticky
But these flowers make us laugh
And maybe even dance
A boy and his dandelions
I get no respect!
I take a lot of photos – you know that. And you know that I take a lot of photos of birds. What you don’t know is how uncooperative those little buggers are. I can’t begin to tell you how much I spend on birdseed every year – you would think they would be more grateful and strike some nice poses for me. But no. Instead I get a whole lotta bird butt.
I get Junco butt and Goldfinch butt
I get Dove butt and Cowbird butt
All the different Sparrows give me butt
I get downy Woodpecker butt and Chickadee butt
Tufted Titmouse butt and Grosbeak butt
I get Cardinal butt and even butt from two different kinds of birds in one shot!
Look at this – I even get butt from mammals like this woodchuck

And this has got to be the ultimate insult – grandson butt

I tell ya – I get no respect!
A few more for Wednesday
A male White Throated Sparrow – we see lots of these guys
A tuberous Begonia that is going to live on our front porch this summer
Wednesday is for photos
First year of blooms on this “Charles Jolie” lilac
One of only two remaining daffodils – first year this has bloomed too
Emerging foliage from one of my favorite hostas – Kabitan.
I will probably put up a couple more later on, but for now I have to run.
