This evening, Fred and Bessie were spotted again. They ran off as soon as they realized we had seen them, but they seem to be in good shape. Tomorrow, we will work on getting them to come in the house again, so Flea won’t worry about them so much. And of course, there are still many unaswered questions, so we will try to get to the bottom of their skedaddling. 
That is definitely Bessie’s back side. I’d recognize that udder anywhere.
