Wednesday it was 60 – we sat on the porch for the first time this year, which was lovely. Then yesterday when we got up, there was snow on the porch. We are used to that in spring around here though. And in the afternoon, the late in the day light was so pretty on the crocus just coming up. It IS spring!
oh I’m so jealous! I LOVE crocuses… and all we have is piles and piles of snow!
Amen to that!
so pretty, I love how shiney the purple one is.
Our snow is almost gone now but its cold today!
Oh how BEAUTIFUL. We don’t have crocus here, so I’m jealous.
Welcome to spring, Dlyn! Woo Hoo!
We have had snow on our flowers….
The forsythia and daffodils are in full bloom here.
Thanks for the awesome pictures ….. I’m glad the whale didn’t show up in any of them today! ; )
I got quite a chuckle yesterday picturing in my mind Grandma setting up Mark’s little people, creating these scenes for a photo shoot ….. I’m sure he was quite entertained. Did you get any “No Gndma, not like dat.” When I would play Thomas trains with Nathaniel he would start telling me my story wasn’t right. I’d tell him if he didn’t stop correcting my story I would quit …. kind of like “I’m taking my trians and going home” …. the problem was they were his trains and I was home. : )
Love, CM
I love the pics… so beautiful! What kind of camera do you have?
Oh, I was so sorry to hear that you had snow so recently. But these pics are incredible! Our crocus here in Maryland are spent, but there are still daffodils blooming and the forsythia are in full bloom. The flowering trees are bursting forth and the grass will need cutting very soon. IT’S SPRING!
Kate – our spring is probably a month behind you guys, so we have a lot to look forward to still. These are the very early kind of crocus so a lot of them are just barely up – the daffs are just breaking the surface of the ground this week.
Tina – I have a Nikon D70 which I bought used on ebay in January – I am still working on learning how to use it well.
CM – Mark actually made up a lot of the story, though I may have filled in a few details ;)
Glad everyone enjoyed the signs of spring :)
We have a couple of little crocuses trying to bloom down by our mailbox, but they don’t look as healthy as the daffodils. I am wondering if the fact that the neighbors’ cats think my flowerbed is a litterbox has anything to do with it. OR that other neighbor with the dog that likes to do the same thing…… Again, need one of those signs!
Ahhhhhh … beautiful! :)
