this sounds delicious: using only a few ingredients you can make your own homemade caramel sauce. I’m sure you will bake very good cookies with this flavoursome sauce.
Caramel is one of those things I just never make, and I don’t know why. It’s relatively easy, as you point out, although of course one needs to spend a bit of time at the stove. But we do that when we brown meat, and don’t think the effort is over-the-top! Really nice post – thanks so much.
Caramel can seem intimidating, but once you do it a few times…you totally get the hang of it (and become addicted to it too!) This looks delicious! Thank you for sharing yet another drool-worthy post. I hope you have a wonderful end to your week!
Donalyn respect! I hate making caramel. That stupid sticky (bu delicious addictive wonderful) caramel nearly messed up my hotel tourism final graduation exam. We had to make a net with it and we had done it before, but honestly I always ended up with a huge massacre. Maybe I should follow your tips the next time when I am up to the task. ;)
There is nothing better than homemade caramel. I haven’t had it in years, but you are making me think I need to dive into it this comeing weekend. thanks!
There's a new blog in town, and eventually everything from here will be moved over there.
You don't have to wait though - go and check it out now! The Creekside Cook

Thanks Rita – and I have to admit that they are pretty darned good :)
Alright then. I’m going to give this a try, but only because you say I can do it. Back later to report my results…

I’ll be looking forward to your results Sallie!
Thanks John – if you ever eat store bought caramel, this is SO much tastier, for not a lot of effort. Definitely worth perfecting IMO.
It is definitely too easy to make. I’ve just had a porridge with a carmel and figs. I loved it! And I’ll eat it again :) Carmel is so delicious…

Looks absolutely mesmerizing right now. =D
Helene – tackling some candy made with caramel is one of my next projects – making a net does look a little harder than making this sauce!
