I love all the flavours in this recipe! I have miso soup a few times a week and it’s coming up to summer here so a lovely green bean recipe is just what I need – thanks :)
This looks very inspiring and healthy. I’ve never tried Miso paste, I need to find it (no in a regular UK supermarket). Green beans are my favourite vegetables at the moment, sweet and very versatile.
Great tips on the planting green beans. We were not at all happy with our crop this year. We have had some difficulties with drought and heat issues. Wonderful recipe :)
Tricia – we had the same thing with our first planting, but that is the beauty of succession planting. if you don’t have ideal conditions for one part of the the summer, you might later on – well worth having another row waiting in the wings!
You take such a gorgeous food photography! I enjoyed learning about this green bean recipe dressed with miso! I tend to eat similar green bean recipes so it’s fun to try something new. Miso and siracha sauce combination sounds fun too! :)
Wow! That is quite tasty to look at. I am glad to learn a lot about this recipe and healthy too. Thanks a lot for sharing. Green beans are my favorite! Check my site at http://www.CheapSheds.co.nz/ .
What a beautiful bowl of green beans. Thank you for sharing this recipe with miso. I love miso and I’m always looking for new favorites. I can’t wait to give this one a try!
What a great way to do green beans. When they are in season I nearly always put them in my shopping basket. Forget ‘side dish’, I’d happily eat this as a main!

Oh – I’m jealous Emma – summer is winding down now here! I hope you enjoy it!
Rita – I would think you could find it at an Asian market. And miso is the perfect contrast to the sweetness of green beans – a lovely balance!

something else yummy looking!
Hi again Amanda – and thanks!
This looks really tempting. I love the tip about blanching the beans. I guess that would keep them from turning that dull color they always do?
For sure Roberta – and they stay fresh in the fridge longer too!

I just don’t understand why miso is not in our pantry?! Yummy green beans :)
