HAve never tried them grilled, we make them baked, but these looks super fabulous, tender and delicious, can’t wait to try these my son is going to love them ….thanks for much for this recipe and idea.
Thanks so much Claudia – they are yummy!
Anything tastes better grilled. But, I can’t imagine being able to wait another couple of hours after cooking them to eat them!!!! They’d be gone! POOF :)
RA
Oh my goodness, they look soooo good! I would eat those right now for breakfast!
…I like this! Thank you! :o)
…Blessings…
RA – you are right about that!
Janis – we have leftovers – c’mon out and I will heat them up for you!
tj – you are very welcome!
Mmmmm….the photos of your wings look finger-lickin’ good! I love the way you use simple ingredients and use time instead to make the dish more flavorful.
I’ll definitely try this soon….next weekend sounds the perfect time!
Thanks Joanne – simple ingredients and time are what make the best food!
Where do you get your chipotle chili powder?
I can think of many occassions where these would make a perfect dish! Finger licking good!
Kathy – I get mine from either Penzey’s or Great American Spice Company. Can’t find it locally. GASC has free shipping on spices and herbs right now too – time to stock up!
Megan – thanks & I think they go well for any occasion where you aren’t wearing white – a little messy for that!
I love wings and now that it is time for the bbq – even better. Thanks for the great recipe!
Hope you give them a try Beth – let me know how they work out for you, ok?
It has never occurred to me to grill wings, but these look fantastic. Great photos!
Here is common to grill wings but not with this dressing, omg! they look scrumptious :)
Cheers,
Gera
I wanna make these wings today.
You write “1/2 cup Durkee’s Red Hot” Red hot what?
Hi Jill – Durkee’s Red Hot is a hot sauce available here. The closest thing I know of would probably be Crystal Hot Sauce, though I much prefer Durkee’s. It’s the hot sauce the Anchor Bar used when they first came up with hot wings, and I think it is pretty widely available because of that.
Cool. I found Cholula hot sauce at the store. It has a nice kick that doesn’t stay around too long and I think it will work for me.
The wings are getting cozy in the first step right now. The hot sauce is standing by and now I’m putting together the Creamy Feta salad dressing. I love feta far more than blue cheese. Don’t get me wrong, I like blue cheese, but I can eat feta more days in a row. ;D
I’m also putting together the works for a small brisket marinating in coffee/brown sugar and a bunch of other spices. It has a cherry barbecue sauce that goes with it. It’s on my site, Coffee-Cardamon Brisket Rub. That’s dinner tonight, and lunch tomorrow. OH and I thought I would make smitten kitchen’s broccoli slaw.
And sangria to keep me cool over the smoker. It’s a great day. :D
Thank you for the inspiration!
