Intrepid Interviewer: Hello?
Coolpix: What do you want?
II: – Wow – you sound kind of grouchy.
Coolpix: I have a right to be grouchy.II: Really? Why is that?
Coolpix: I am under a lot of pressure lately.
II: Because … ?
Coolpix: You know why. It’s your fault.
II: My fault? What did I do?Coolpix: Ever since you had to send the big camera to the shop, you have done nothing but give me a hard time.
II: I don’t think that is true.
Coolpix: Oh Yeah? I have spent the last 8 months on your desk or, if I am lucky, in your purse, while you drag him all over creation, fondling his buttons and murmuring endearments into his lenses.
II: Well, you know how I love to take photos. I still love you, but he is just…
Coolpix: What??? Better??? Is that what you are trying to say? II: He is a very different kind of camera. You are very good at what you do, but there are some things that he can do better.
Coolpix: Huh! Like everything you mean. C’mon, admit it! You love him more than me.
II: It’s not like that. I love you both – just in different ways.
Coolpix: I think I read lines like this in a bad novel once.
II: Don’t be bitter.
Coolpix: Bitter? You don’t want me to be bitter? You have barely given me the time of day for 8 months and then when HE decides to stop working, you drag me out and get all bent out of shape because I am not performing up to your high standards. And the language – when my pictures don’t come out just the way you think they should – it is just insulting!
II: I’m sorry. I guess I didn’t think.
Coolpix: That’s right – you didn’t think!
II: You have done pretty well actually – I guess I should tell you that more often.
Coolpix: Whatever. When is he coming back anyway?
II: I am not sure – they had to order a part.
Coolpix: What??? A part???II: I’m afraid so. I guess we will just have to try and get along a little while longer.
Coolpix: Shut me off would you? I need a nap.

I know just what you mean coolpix. I have heard the language too. Very bad.
Poor Coolpix!
Now I feel bad that I neglect my point and shoot. Sniff!
Good one Dlyn. lol.
:)
LOL I can hear such a converstation here in my own home IF i ever get a camera like yours LOL my poor point and shooters will just CRY !
maybe… IF….
LOL!! I thought I was the only one with a camera that talks. My camera’s name is Sybil, she has so many different personalities, you know, sunset, snow, macro, super macro, m,n,a,p, … :D
I keep my sweet little point and shoot hanging on the headrest of my car. Sybil rides shotgun on the console next to the gear shift. Coolpix, you have a place in the world and you are important in the life of a blogger.
I can’t think of a comment for this other than, “I enjoy your brain… crazy as it is.”

Yikes! I haven’t even looked at my coolpix since I bought my D60 last spring. I’ve got some ‘splainin do. By the way, what did you use to take the shots of your coolpix with?
olly – I used the camera in my phone :)
sara – thanks, though you have just outted yourself as being kinda wierd. LOL
Ellyn – bite me.
judi – mostly my good camera says things like “Not like that!” and “Why don’t you find a photography calls to take”
laura – my advice is to haunt eBay – that is where I got mine. Don’t get a D70 though – the parts are getting harder to find I guess.
ashleigh – better get it out and talk nice to it!
And the good news – Nikon says my camera will be on a UPS truck tomorrow and back to me the day after that – woot!
Haha. I thought it was a cell phone shot! Good news about your camera!
Hee hee funny post! I came to you via black box. I like Diana Gabaldon too! Have you read all her books?
Incredibly clever, your interview with the vampire. Er, I mean camera!
…lol…You’re a HOOT! lol…I loved it! Are you going to do an interview from your DSLR when it arrives home? :o)
…Too funny!
…Blessings… :o)
No one does an interview better than you, dlyn.
LOL!!!! Poor little Cool Pix. Maybe you need to throw it a surprise party.
This is really cute. I never thought of how my old cameras must feel. I am a terrible person… boo hoo…… I must go hug… them… wiping tears…. you’ve simply moved me! Seriously, this made me smile. Have a good day!
your interviews are always great!
I have been toying with the idea of doing one. This one might have given me the push I need.
