Just a little and the next thing you know, you will be knocking over convenience stores so you can afford more.
Christmas Crack Candy
1 inner package club crackers – may need a few more
1 cup butter
1 cup dark brown sugar
2 cups milk chocolate chips
3/4 cup toasted chopped nuts – pecans or almonds
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Grease cookie sheet and arrange crackers in single layer. Combine sugar and butter in a saucepan. Bring to a full boil for 3 minutes. Immediately pour over crackers and spread to cover completely. Bake at 400 degrees for 5-6 minutes. Remove from oven and sprinkle chocolate chips over the top. Let sit for 5 minutes. Spread melted chocolate and sprinkle nuts on top. Cool and break into pieces and store in an airtight container.
Sadly, these are not low fat or low carb and they have zero redemptive nutritional value. They are evil and I’m sorry to even be telling you about them. Why should my family be the only vicitms of this menace?
Why worry if something has a redemptive nutritional value? I have lived my whole life almost wholly on foods with no redemptive nutritional value. I figure that’s what multi-vitamins are for.
Except I forget to take my multi-vitamins. Darn.
In that case, you are gonna love Christmas Crack!
Ok. I’m tellin’. God loves everyone. But, I’m His favorite. And I’m tellin’ Him how you are trying to sabotage me.
You have Larry and Riley to help you eat that. I would have to use superhero like strength to take some to work and not eat it all.
I hope you can tell how much I am pouting.
(goes away mumbling hpw this really is not fair.)

Riley! We would never let our poor dog eat something so dreadfully unhealthy! He can only have dog food, approved treats and whatever vegetables he can swipe from the garden buckets populating the kitchen floor about half the year. NO crack for Riley!
These sound phenomenal! Thanks for sharing the recipe.
