It’s hard to wrap my head around the fact that we have been married for 35 years, but today is our Anniversary, so it must be true. I guess time really does fly when you’re having fun.

That’s it? That’s all your going to say? I scrolled down expecting some mushy gushy sayings about how wonderful that man on the tractor is! Maybe even a poem! I guess at your age, after trying to “wrap you mind around”, you were worn out! Well, I will help you out. Here is a poem that one of my FB friends posted today for their anniversary, which is from a card her husband purchased for her at the local feed store … it seems apropos:
“I’ll love you my heifer!”
he said without shame.
“I’ll give you my heart
and I’ll give you my name.”
She batted her eyes
…and blushed with a shudder
as she felt the blood rush
from one end to the udder.
From that moment forward,
he stayed true to his word.
And together they raised
one very nice herd!
Here’s to a love that will
continue on well after the cow’s come home!!!

Larry hasn’t changed since school other than some gray hair. Not many people have made it to 35 years. Mine would have been 40 years this year if my high school sweetheart had stuck around. Happy Anniversary and I hope they have a big party when you hit the 50 year mark because if you made it this far, it will go the distance. That looks like an International tractor.
