SkyWatch Friday #10

Go check out Skywatch Friday and see photos of the sky from photographers all over the world.

I got an email from Nikon yesterday and they are not charging me anything to fix my camera! I will have it back in 7 to 10 days. Cool huh?

The other night I came out on the porch and Larry said -“You should just keep your eyes shut during cocktail hour tonight.” I didn’t though – I went in and grabbed my trusty Nikon Coolpix5600. I am not even going to think about how this would have looked if it were taken with the good camera – just gonna enjoy how it came out with the old standby. Happy SkyWatch Friday!

This one is pretty darn good! All puffy and wavy…not often do I see a sky like that.

    Love that shot…
Someone once told me that that is called a “mackerel sky” — after the skin of the fish…

Great photo – it is a mackel sky which means the weather is going to change.

Came here from the black boxes widget :-)

That clinches it. My next camera will be a Nikon. When I called Canon about fixing my Rebel, their initial response was that it would cost upward of $100 just to look at it and see what was wrong. I took it to a local shop instead and paid just a tad more for it to be FIXED, not just looked at. Good for you!!!

Now that’s the kind of sky you lie down in a field to watch. Just beautiful!

LOL, I am trying to think of a response to a man saying “Keep your eyes shut during cocktail hour”, I can’t, all I do is giggle.

  15. Sara says:

I should be admiring the sky, but really I’m just wishing I had a cocktail hour.

Dlyn, you are lucky to have the little Nikon on hand. I haven’t come by lately and thought of you today, so I rushed over to see if the camera had returned. I thought it had when I saw your Skywatch post! Well, another week and then some, but at least it will be free!!!
