Wednesday’s child has a class

Day 3 of a two week class actually. Possibly the world’s most boring and frustrating class. You know in City Slickers, when Bruno Kirby is trying to teach Daniel Stern how to program his VCR? And Billy Crystal tells him to give it up because he is never going to get it? All through this class, I have this almost unsquelchable urge to yell “The cows can do it by now!” [to my fellow classmates, should any of you ever find your way to my blog – I mean the other people in the class of course – not you.] I work at home though which means I am taking the class from home and no one can see me when I doze off – I mean when I am paying strict attention to every detail of what is going on. Yeah, that.

But yesterday, after the boring class, I got outdoors for a few minutes with my camera, and here are a few images that soothed my soul a bit.

The leaves on this crab apple tree are always red but they are beginning to show signs of wear.Getting photos of the birds has been a challenge through the summer. It’s shady by the feeders and the leaves make it tough to focus on the birds. This chipping sparrow stepped into the light for me though. This is Ligularia “Desdemona”. She should be laying on a couch, eating peeled grapes probably, but instead she drapes herself around the back shade garden.

Have a great day all – follow me on Twitter if you like and I promise to update you on how the class is going.

Oh those pictures … awesome! …. and I want them!

And the post about the homemade tomato sauce … I scanned the pictures but I just couldn’t bring myself read it as it would push my level of envy to the dangerous edge. You know how I love spaghetti …. I could just smell it cooking!

I’ll be taking the kids to college tomorrow. You probably won’t hear from me until Tuesday.

At least you could renew yourself in your garden. Hope the rest of your class is less boring…tho if I were a betting gal, I wouldn’t bet on it! ;-)
