I don’t write about this a whole lot, but our very own Sgt. is beginning the process that will find her in Iraq in a couple months. Her unit leaves today for their final phase of predeployment preparation. She has been in the Army for 6 years and this is her first deployment so she has been more fortunate thus far than a lot of others. We are praying Psalm 91 for her every day if you would like to join us. And please keep her husband, Steve in your prayers too. It is going to be a tough year for him as well.
You can count on prayers from me. One of our teachers at school has a husband that’s been over since last September. Came home for a week at Christmas, and she just learned he’s coming home for good on Wednesday. She’s floating on air, as are the children. Good wishes for your Sgt.
Psalm 91 is absolutely perfect. :) I’m excited for your girl. Will post the psalm on my mirror.
I will certainly keep her in my prayers. Psalm 91 will be posted at my house, too, as a reminder to me to pray for her and all of our other people there.
Ugh. I’ve got a whole slew of friends and families overseas in Iraq, Afghanistan, and other bases so I know just how hard the buildup to leaving can be. My thoughts are with y’all.

I think that Psalm 91 is perfect.
She is beautiful even in her Army garb.

Thank you each and every one – it means a lot to all of us.
She is in my prayers. And I have to agree – she’s beautiful in uniform!
thanks for all of your thoughts
I have been keep her and Steve in my prayers when you first mentioned what would be happening. I keep a candle burning for all soldiers. And bless you, Mom, because I know how tough and scary you have to be, yet how proud of her and Steve. Please let us know when she has an address as I’d like to send her a care package.
Thanks for stopping by! I’ll keep her in my prayers….as well as her family. My friend’s son has done two tours over there and she was a nervous wreck the entire time he was there. The internet is a good thing though as sometimes he could check in with her!
Okay … my heart is really touched ….. puts into perspecive the nagging worries I have about my kids.
Lauren, Steve, Dlyn, Larry will be in our prayers.
She’ll be incuded in our prayers as well. And please tell her (and her Hubby)”thank you” from one military family to another.
God bless her and protect her. She’s making a huge sacrifice for us. And God bless you and her husband!
You got it! She’s so beautiful she makes that cammo look good!
Dear dlyn,
I’ll pray for her.

God bless your Sgt. and her husband. We have our own Master Sgt who just got back from his second tour. A day doesn’t go by that I don’t thank God for the brave men and women who volunteer to protect our freedoms.
We will all be thinking and praying from down here… Just let her know to watch out for some of the friendlys, McDermott #3 (A.K.A. Patrick) is over there right now.
