The rest of my quirks

If you scroll down a bit, you will find the first part of this tag.

5. I cannot stand to have the TV on in the daytime. I don’t watch any news or weather or Oprah or Dr Phil or the Price is Right or soap operas or Judge Judy or QVC or Emeril or anything else. A TV being on just makes my whole day wierd and makes my brain feel disordered and intruded upon.

6. I wear the same clothes for years. Not without washing them of course – I am not THAT wierd. I hate new clothes – they don’t feel right and it takes forever for me to feel good about them. And by then they aren’t new anymore, so I can love them. If I have to buy something new, I try to find the same thing I had before, like the same brand and style of jeans for instance, because I know I will like them.

7. I am weird about grocery shopping. I like to go to the same few stores because I know where everything is and can get through quickly. One of my usual stores is remodeling and expanding right now and I am not going back there until they figure out where everything goes and they leave it there, so I don’t have to keep looking for it all over the place. I make my grocery list in the exact order of where things are in the store. And when I put my stuff up on the checkstand belt, all of each type of item must be together – all the dairy, all the meat, all the fresh veggies etc – so that it has some chance of getting bagged together, which makes it easier to put away when I get it home.

I have already tagged lots of people for this particular meme, so I will leave it to you – do it if you like and let me know so I can come and share in your quirkiness.

Oh Boy …. I’m with you on the daytime TV thing. I knew I was like that but you described it just right. Watching TV in the daytime is depressing or something. When I go to a certain relative’s house the TVs are all on, all times of day, in almost every room. It drives me nuts. If I can get away with it, I turn them off when no one but me is in the room and hope they don’t notice.

PS… I love new clothes…. though I cant’ afford them too often …I ordered some from L.L. Bean today. Finally, I’m weird about grocery shopping too …. I like someone else to do it! : )

I’m with you on #7! I only go to one market for this reason.

    PS… I don’t think it’s weird at all! ;)

I stick to two groceries, a third if I can’t get to one of the others. I agree.

And I just don’t go near the TV unless we’re popping in a movie. Nope. The blogosphere is my daytime addiction. :)

    Dlyn…

There is nothing weird about keep all like grocery items together (dairy with dairy, canned goods with canned goods). It helps me with unloading the bags at home. Also…keeping all cold items together keeps things cold.

    Ha. ha.

Glad that Riley is ok. I knew you were a good mama so I was not worried.

    =)

I HAVE to have the TV on during the day – for the noise. I don’t think I have gone my entire life without hearing a TV – they are always on in my house.

Thanks for coming by and thanks for your prayers for our sweet baby. Take care and I’ll see you soon. Kellan

I am really impressed by your grocery-list organizational skills. I have to write things down as I remember them or else I’ll forget them when I go to the grocery. So “milk” is right in between “wiper blades” and “dog food”. You have inspired me! :)

I thought I was the only one to write a grocery list that way! lol! Nothing worse than backtracking in a store.
