\"\"<\/a>I lead a charmed life.\u00a0 No, really – I do!\u00a0 I won this when Charlane<\/a>\u00a0did it, and then I won it again when Kate<\/a>\u00a0did it over the weekend.\u00a0 And when I won Charlane’s, it was because I saw it mentioned on Kate’s blog.\u00a0 And that was the second time I entered a giveaway I saw mentioned on Kate’s blog.\u00a0 She’s like the rabbit’s tail of blog giveaways for me!\u00a0 Last week I won one of Fage yogurt’s daily giveaways too.\u00a0 Can the lottery be far behind?\u00a0 Wait – I bet you actually have to buy lottery tickets to win that, don’t you.<\/p>\n

Did I tell you that a Pine Siskin<\/a>\u00a0ate out of my hand the other day?\u00a0 It was the coolest thing.\u00a0 \"pine_siskin3\"I was out by the finch feeder, weeding and he was just sitting there watching me.\u00a0 I sprinkled a few niger seeds on my palm and he hopped right on\u00a0my hand\u00a0to eat them.\u00a0 I think he heard I was putting Pine Siskins on my blog and he wanted to get in on the action.\u00a0 Too bad for him that my camera was in the house.\u00a0 Too bad for me too.<\/p>\n

I have to go outside and get more containers planted today – I will have some pics of those probably.\u00a0 Annuals and herbs and hanging baskets of begonias and impatiens and lobelia.\u00a0 \"\"I’m expanding my front garden too – an arduous taking-far-longer-than-I-had-anticipated task.\u00a0 It keeps getting bigger as I go along, seemingly out of my control.\u00a0 Aliens may be involved – not sure about that yet.<\/p>\n

I will be back later with a recipe.\u00a0 I think I will anyway.\u00a0 Unless the aliens who are expanding my garden are the kidnapping-humans kind that they have out in Arkansas and Oklahoma.\u00a0 Then I may not be back at all.<\/p>\n
