If you look up sane and normal in the dictionary, you will find a picture of me. Yep. Anyway – Ellyn was late with her entry, so not only was she not eligible for the grand prize drawing, but her submissions did not make the cut. I saved them though, because I knew – just knew, that a fascinating person like me would surely get tagged with this sucker again. These first two are from her:

1. “That you and Dad are always in the same position, relative to each other. He is always on your left – he sits to your left at the table, he sleeps to your left in bed, his spot on the livingroom is to your left.” In my own defense, I don’t do anything to make this happen – at least not that I am aware of. I am pretty sure this is Larry’s quirk, the more I think about it.

2. “You have a thing about small children rolling up their sleeves when they eat. Now some things I understand, spaghetti, pudding and the like. However I don’t think its necessary to push a child’s sleeves up to their armpits while they eat Cheerios.” Whatever – I think a lot of adults ought to be rolling their sleeves up more too.

3. Not really a quirk, but I have a little speck of green crayon under the skin on my left index finger. It is there to prove you should never stick a needle through a green crayon [or any other color I imagine] because your Dad saw you doing it and told you to stop and you waited until he wasn’t looking and did it anyway and it went right through and poked into your finger. And you can’t even seek medical attention because then you will be busted and you get in enough trouble as it is, so even though your whole finger will probably rot off, you don’t say anything. And my Dad will read this and probably still think I should be punished and he is probably right. There is no statute of limitations on these situations.

4. Again not a quirk, but I have odd half-moon shaped scars on my index and middle fingers on my left hand. This is also from not listening when one of my parental units told me not to do something. In this case it was not messing with the key and metal strip left after opening a can of Spam. We had no doubt enjoyed the aforementioned Quik-nik for dinner that night and I was supposed to be working on getting the dishes done when I was overcome with the temptation to straighten out the little springy strip of metal that was the method for opening cans of Spam way back at the turn of the last century when I was a child. When it was all said and done, I had odd little flaps of skin on the tips of my fingers, and a tetanus shot since tetanus was likely to be running rampant on Span cans and American kitchens at that time. And now I have very distinctive fingerprints that do not require any sort of computer analysis to be indentified as mine – this has often prevented me from commiting crimes I am sure.

I still owe 3 more quirks and I will be back with them later on today – for now you can just mull over these and decide if you even want to visit the blog of such an odd person anymore. And I had to peel Riley out of my computer chair this morning – not sure what he was up to, but whatever it was, he didn’t accomplish it. He is a bit under the weather actually – we can talk about that tomorrow though.

Julie tagged me last weekWhen I last got tagged for this, I asked my family members to tell me if I had any quirks and they all confirmed what I already knew and that is that I am like the … Continue reading →

[10
