Sunday Prayers

Psalm 121

I will lift up my eyes to the hills—
From whence comes my help?
My help comes from the Lord,
Who made heaven and earth.

He will not allow your foot to be moved;
He who keeps you will not slumber.
Behold, He who keeps Israel
Shall neither slumber nor sleep.

The Lord is your keeper;
The Lord is your shade at your right hand.
The sun shall not strike you by day,
Nor the moon by night.

The Lord shall preserve you from all evil;
He shall preserve your soul.
The Lord shall preserve your going out and your coming in
From this time forth, and even forevermore.

In the land of dial-up

We are going into exile for this next week. Into the deepest darkest jungles of Virginia where they have no DSL or Cable. The internet is slooooooooooooooooooow in the deepest darkest jungles of Virginia. I am not good at slow when it comes to the internet. I’m ok with slow when it comes to folding laundry or mopping the kitchen floor or turning in my reports for work, but the internet should not be slow. It is for this reason that there will not be much new content showing up here until after the first of the year. I will be way too busy helping build Lego towers and tickling small children and engaging in merriment [in our family this mostly translates to eating]to be fooling around on the internet anyway.
