They were talking about the pretty little dish of spread in the last photo: “what is that?” “it looks good!” “you are going to give us the recipe, right?”<\/p>\n
So, being the responsive blogger that I am – this is Parmesan Spread. I worked at this cute little gourmet restaurant in my hometown for awhile after both of the girls had started school and I got this recipe from the chef there, Lisa. I don’t know where she got it but she used it as a melted topping on a particular sandwich they served. Unless the employees had pounded it all down on baked potatoes, toasted croissants or bagels. It is sinfully good and very easy to make. No foufy-poufy hand-grated or smashed-and-minced ingredients either. It’s all straight out of the store packaging for this one.<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-696\" title=\"ingred\" src=\"http:\/\/dlynz.com\/public_html\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/02\/ingred.jpg\" alt=\"ingred\" width=\"500\" height=\"314\" srcset=\"http:\/\/dlynz.com\/public_html\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/02\/ingred.jpg 500w, http:\/\/dlynz.com\/public_html\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/02\/ingred-300x188.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/>
\nIn a small mixing bowl place
\n8 ounces softened cream cheese [the lowfat kind is just fine here]
\n4 ounces softened butter
\n1\/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
\n1 1\/2 teaspoon paprika [smoked or regular]
\n1 teaspoon dried oregano
\n1\/2 teaspoon granulated garlic powder
\n1\/4 teaspoon salt
\n5-6 grinds black pepper<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-697\" title=\"inbowl\" src=\"http:\/\/dlynz.com\/public_html\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/02\/inbowl.jpg\" alt=\"inbowl\" width=\"500\" height=\"307\" srcset=\"http:\/\/dlynz.com\/public_html\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/02\/inbowl.jpg 500w, http:\/\/dlynz.com\/public_html\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/02\/inbowl-300x184.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/>Beat until thoroughly combined.<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-698\" title=\"mixer\" src=\"http:\/\/dlynz.com\/public_html\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/02\/mixer.jpg\" alt=\"mixer\" width=\"500\" height=\"307\" srcset=\"http:\/\/dlynz.com\/public_html\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/02\/mixer.jpg 500w, http:\/\/dlynz.com\/public_html\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/02\/mixer-300x184.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/>Let sit at room tempurature for a couple hours to blend the flavors.
