We don&#8217;t hate it though and usually catch a game or two through the season. I vastly prefer baseball and Larry doesn&#8217;t care much about sports at all except for the kind where you strap a ton or so of steel about your person and drive it &#8217;round a circle for several hours. But what kind of Americans would we be if we didn&#8217;t watch the Superbowl? Besides &#8211; there are snacks!<br \/>\nThere were two first half highlights. One &#8211; we didn&#8217;t know there was a new Star Trek movie. This makes us very happy. We like Star Trek. <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-715\" title=\"startr\" src=\"http:\/\/dlynz.com\/public_html\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/02\/startr.jpg\" alt=\"startr\" width=\"500\" height=\"391\" srcset=\"http:\/\/dlynz.com\/public_html\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/02\/startr.jpg 500w, http:\/\/dlynz.com\/public_html\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/02\/startr-300x234.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/>This longest- touchdown-run-in-Superbowl-history was very cool. That &#8220;uneccesary roughness&#8221; business later in the game? The steak sandwiches we had at halftime were really good though.<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-718\" title=\"springsteen\" src=\"http:\/\/dlynz.com\/public_html\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/02\/springsteen.jpg\" alt=\"springsteen\" width=\"500\" height=\"256\" srcset=\"http:\/\/dlynz.com\/public_html\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/02\/springsteen.jpg 500w, http:\/\/dlynz.com\/public_html\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/02\/springsteen-300x153.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/>Early in the second half, I potted these plants. 3 bargain plants from Lowes in a planter Ellyn gave me for Christmas a couple years ago &#8211; I need to garden <strong>NOW<\/strong>!<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-719\" title=\"plant\" src=\"http:\/\/dlynz.com\/public_html\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/02\/plant.jpg\" alt=\"plant\" width=\"500\" height=\"282\" srcset=\"http:\/\/dlynz.com\/public_html\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/02\/plant.jpg 500w, http:\/\/dlynz.com\/public_html\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/02\/plant-300x169.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/>People on our cable system who really cared a lot about the game were probably kinda pissed off &#8211; the picture for NBC stations was awful for some reason.<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-720\" title=\"score\" src=\"http:\/\/dlynz.com\/public_html\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/02\/score.jpg\" alt=\"score\" width=\"500\" height=\"316\" srcset=\"http:\/\/dlynz.com\/public_html\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/02\/score.jpg 500w, http:\/\/dlynz.com\/public_html\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/02\/score-300x189.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/>Having no dog in the hunt, we didn&#8217;t care who won, but it was a good game.
