But then?  Back down in the 20&#8217;s, or even the teens and an addition of more snow.  2 weeks ago, we got a total of nearly 40 inches of snow over a 10 day period.<\/p>\n<p>You can tell, though.  Even though there is still not a single square inch anywhere on our 2 acres that is free of snow.  Even though it snowed this very afternoon, you can still feel a change.  And, the birds certainly know &#8211; they can&#8217;t stay away any longer.  You can see all the snow in the white background of this photo- this poor robin really had no place else to go.  He sat there for hours, and I am sure finally gave up in disgust and headed for town where he would have a better chance of seeing some bare ground.<a href=\"http:\/\/dlynz.com\/public_html\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/03\/robin.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-5129\" title=\"robin\" src=\"http:\/\/dlynz.com\/public_html\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/03\/robin.jpg\" alt=\"robin in spring time\" width=\"600\" height=\"413\" srcset=\"http:\/\/dlynz.com\/public_html\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/03\/robin.jpg 600w, http:\/\/dlynz.com\/public_html\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/03\/robin-150x103.jpg 150w, http:\/\/dlynz.com\/public_html\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/03\/robin-300x206.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/a>Or, he may have been scoping out his spot for a nest in a few weeks.
