I didn&#8217;t have many [any?] readers a year ago when I was just getting started with this permutation of my blog, but I did write about Lauren&#8217;s birthday <a href=\"http:\/\/dlynz.blogspot.com\/2007\/11\/what-i-was-doing-25-years-ago-today.html\">right here<\/a>.  <\/p>\n<p>Now, she is very far away from us and having her birthday in quite a different place than last year.
