{"id":47,"date":"2007-11-16T15:45:00","date_gmt":"2007-11-16T20:45:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/dlynz.com\/?p=47"},"modified":"2007-11-16T15:45:00","modified_gmt":"2007-11-16T20:45:00","slug":"squash-is-what-i-got","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/dlynz.com\/?p=47","title":{"rendered":"Squash is what I got"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" id=\"BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5133546258037834802\" style=\"FLOAT: right; MARGIN: 0px 0px 10px 10px; CURSOR: hand\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/bp0.blogger.com\/_8YuevXJXjqg\/Rz4FH3xhhDI\/AAAAAAAAAC0\/4QTQFwRFmW0\/s200\/squash_bread.jpg\" border=\"0\" \/>So instead of Pumpkin Bread, we have<br \/><span style=\"color:#ff6600;\">Squash Bread<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color:#ff6600;\"><\/span><span style=\"color:#333333;\">3 cups all purpose flour<\/span><br \/>1 cup whole wheat flour<br \/>1 cup regular oats<br \/>2 cups sugar<br \/>1 cup packed brown sugar<br \/>3 teaspoons baking soda<br \/>1 1\/2 teaspoons baking powder<br \/>2 teaspoons salt<br \/>3 teaspoons cinnamon<br \/>1 1\/2 teaspoons nutmeg<br \/>1 tablespoon freshly grated ginger<br \/>Mix all of that together in a big bowl<\/p>\n<p>Throw in on top:<br \/>3 generous cups pureed squash [you can use pumpkin if that is what <em>you&#8217;ve<\/em> got]<br \/>2 eggs<br \/>2 egg whites<br \/>1 3\/4 cups lowfat buttermilk<br \/>1\/4 cup oil or melted butter<br \/>Mix it all up until blended and decant into 3 greased large bread pans or 9 little ones.<br \/>Bake at 350 for 45 min to 1 hour &#8211; until toothpick comes out clean. Remove from pans and<br \/>cool on wire rack.<\/p>\n<p>This is fairly low fat stuff, which is my intention. Now that I am doing WW instead of Atkins, I can <em><strong><span style=\"color:#000000;\">BAKE <\/span><\/strong><\/em>which I haven&#8217;t been able to do for the last 5 years. I still have to watch my carbs, but a slice or two of this is going to be just fine.
