I scored a couple pair of cheapo gloves [cheapo gardening gloves make surprisingly good mulch, when taken off by a person who hates wearing gloves, laid on the ground and forgotten for several weeks &#8211; it does mean you need an endless supply of them though], and some ceramic plant stakes that I can&#8217;t find now that I want them.  But what thrilled me even more, were the boxes of crocus bulbs that were marked down to fifty cents each.  <\/p>\n<p>At a dozen in each box, each of these little lovelies cost me 4 cents!<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/dlynz.com\/public_html\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/05\/yellowcrocus.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"yellowcrocus\" width=\"600\" height=\"463\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-4348\" srcset=\"http:\/\/dlynz.com\/public_html\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/05\/yellowcrocus.jpg 600w, http:\/\/dlynz.com\/public_html\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/05\/yellowcrocus-150x115.jpg 150w, http:\/\/dlynz.com\/public_html\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/05\/yellowcrocus-300x231.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/>And nothing is easier to plant than a crocus bulb &#8211; poke a big screwdriver down in the dirt about 4 inches, wiggle it around to make a big enough hole, drop in the bulb, and tamp in some soil on top.<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/dlynz.com\/public_html\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/05\/white-crocus.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"white crocus\" width=\"600\" height=\"496\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-4347\" srcset=\"http:\/\/dlynz.com\/public_html\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/05\/white-crocus.jpg 600w, http:\/\/dlynz.com\/public_html\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/05\/white-crocus-150x124.jpg 150w, http:\/\/dlynz.com\/public_html\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/05\/white-crocus-300x248.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/>Then you have to wait of course.
