No, I don&#8217;t have photos of that.  Maybe another time.  What I have are some photos of daylilies.  I know, shocking, right?  These are all new to me in the last year and with the exceptional weather we had for flowers this summer, they are really something to see.  <\/p>\n<p>This is &#8220;<span style=\"font-weight:bold;\">Open Hearth<\/span>&#8220;, 1976, Lambert.  It is considered an Unusual Form &#8211; the petals and sepals aren&#8217;t quite narrow enough to be a spider &#8211; they are described as being &#8220;spatulate&#8221;  He has been a wonderful performer in this first year of bloom.<a onblur=\"try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}\" href=\"http:\/\/3.bp.blogspot.com\/_8YuevXJXjqg\/SLAZxSJ7kNI\/AAAAAAAACYA\/EVcGawdlQrI\/s1600-h\/open_hearth.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;\" src=\"http:\/\/3.bp.blogspot.com\/_8YuevXJXjqg\/SLAZxSJ7kNI\/AAAAAAAACYA\/EVcGawdlQrI\/open_hearth.jpg\" border=\"0\" alt=\"\"id=\"BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5237714701109661906\" \/><\/a>If you hang around here much at all, you are aware that I am most drawn to flowers in shades of yellow, red and orange.  I know a lot of people are going to love this one though, which was given to me by a friend.  You don&#8217;t turn down free plants!  It is &#8220;<span style=\"font-weight:bold;\">Edge of Paradise<\/span>&#8220;, 1998, Stamile.  Doesn&#8217;t really fit the color scheme where it is planted right now, but very lovely.<a onblur=\"try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}\" href=\"http:\/\/1.bp.blogspot.com\/_8YuevXJXjqg\/SLAZxKfypMI\/AAAAAAAACXw\/pvp7_5iMB0A\/s1600-h\/edge_of_paradise.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;\" src=\"http:\/\/1.bp.blogspot.com\/_8YuevXJXjqg\/SLAZxKfypMI\/AAAAAAAACXw\/pvp7_5iMB0A\/edge_of_paradise.jpg\" border=\"0\" alt=\"\"id=\"BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5237714699053868226\" \/><\/a>Finally, &#8220;<span style=\"font-weight:bold;\">Mauna Loa<\/span>&#8220;, 1976, Roberts.
