Easy to make and crazy good. And lately I have been fiddling with my recipes to come up with some variations. Last fall, we did <a href=\"http:\/\/dlynz.com\/?p=435\" target=\"_blank\">Lemon Spice Brownies<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/dlynz.com\/?p=484\" target=\"_blank\">Macadamia Lime Bars<\/a> &#8211; both out of this world and still enjoyed often around here.\u00a0\u00a0 Last summer, my desperation drove me to <a href=\"http:\/\/dlynz.com\/?p=391\" target=\"_blank\">Chocolate Fudge Zucchini Brownies<\/a>.\u00a0\u00a0Today though, we are bringing out the peanut butter.<\/p>\n<p>This is just my usual <a href=\"http:\/\/dlynz.com\/?p=139\" target=\"_blank\">brownie recipe<\/a>, but with a few additions.\u00a0 I used to make brownies in a 3 quart sauce pan, but I&#8217;ve gotten lazier as time goes by, and now I melt my butter in the microwave, and make them in a bowl.\u00a0 A bowl can go in the dishwasher, but a copper bottom sauce pan has to be washed by hand &#8211; and the bottom has to be shined, since mine hang out where they can be seen all the time.\u00a0 So, a bowl and the microwave it is.\u00a0<br \/>\nMelt 2 sticks of butter<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1374\" title=\"11\" src=\"http:\/\/dlynz.com\/public_html\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/04\/11.jpg\" alt=\"11\" width=\"600\" height=\"339\" srcset=\"http:\/\/dlynz.com\/public_html\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/04\/11.jpg 600w, http:\/\/dlynz.com\/public_html\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/04\/11-300x169.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/>Stir in<br \/>\n1\/2 cup baking cocoa<br \/>\n2 cups granulated sugar<br \/>\n1 teaspoon vanilla<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1375\" title=\"21\" src=\"http:\/\/dlynz.com\/public_html\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/04\/21.jpg\" alt=\"21\" width=\"600\" height=\"339\" srcset=\"http:\/\/dlynz.com\/public_html\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/04\/21.jpg 600w, http:\/\/dlynz.com\/public_html\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/04\/21-300x169.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/>The batter will have a rough appearance.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1376\" title=\"31\" src=\"http:\/\/dlynz.com\/public_html\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/04\/31.jpg\" alt=\"31\" width=\"600\" height=\"339\" srcset=\"http:\/\/dlynz.com\/public_html\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/04\/31.jpg 600w, http:\/\/dlynz.com\/public_html\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/04\/31-300x169.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/>Mix in 4 eggs, one at a time. Now the mixture will have a smooth texture and a nice sheen.<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1377\" title=\"41\" src=\"http:\/\/dlynz.com\/public_html\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/04\/41.jpg\" alt=\"41\" width=\"600\" height=\"339\" srcset=\"http:\/\/dlynz.com\/public_html\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/04\/41.jpg 600w, http:\/\/dlynz.com\/public_html\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/04\/41-300x169.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/>Then add<br \/>\n1 cup all purpose flour<br \/>\n1 teaspoon baking powder<br \/>\n1\/2 teaspoon kosher salt<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1378\" title=\"51\" src=\"http:\/\/dlynz.com\/public_html\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/04\/51.jpg\" alt=\"51\" width=\"600\" height=\"339\" srcset=\"http:\/\/dlynz.com\/public_html\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/04\/51.jpg 600w, http:\/\/dlynz.com\/public_html\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/04\/51-300x169.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/>Spread about half of the batter in a greased 9&#215;13 inch baking dish or pan<br \/>\nTo remaining batter, add<br \/>\n1\/4 cup all purpose flour<br \/>\n1\/3 cup natural peanut butter<br \/>\n1\/3 teaspoon baking powder<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1380\" title=\"6\" src=\"http:\/\/dlynz.com\/public_html\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/04\/6.jpg\" alt=\"6\" width=\"600\" height=\"339\" srcset=\"http:\/\/dlynz.com\/public_html\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/04\/6.jpg 600w, http:\/\/dlynz.com\/public_html\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/04\/6-300x169.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><br \/>\nMix just until combined and spread over bottom layer<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1382\" title=\"8\" src=\"http:\/\/dlynz.com\/public_html\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/04\/8.jpg\" alt=\"8\" width=\"600\" height=\"339\" srcset=\"http:\/\/dlynz.com\/public_html\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/04\/8.jpg 600w, http:\/\/dlynz.com\/public_html\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/04\/8-300x169.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/>Bake at 350\u00ba for about 35 to 40 minutes. A toothpick inserted near the center will have a few crumbs sticking to it when they are done.
